Attitude of Gratitude — Free Print

On occasion I can be a bit of a Negative Nellie. When I let jealousy creep in, it's easy to forget just how blessed I really am. But once November rolls around, I'm surrounded by people counting their blessings. It motivates me to count my own. I decided to create a physical reminder for my home to have an "attitude of gratitude."

Here are the top 3 on my list of blessings…

  1. A Father in Heaven who knows and loves me. Who I can turn to whenever I need help.
  2. My supportive husband and children who may see me at my worst, but love me regardless.
  3. Friends that inspire and motivate me to be a better person.

If you'd like your own reminders of gratitude, I'm sharing these 8x10 prints with you. Just click on the image below for the link to your preferred color choice.

Watercolor Young Women Value Prints

My memory isn't what it used to be. Half the time I can't remember what I had for breakfast, but one thing I do remember is the motto I recited each Sunday as a young woman in my church. Back then there were seven values, each represented by a color, that reminded us of what we should be working on. Faith, divine nature, individual worth, knowledge, choice & accountability, good works, and integrity. They've since added virtue to the list.

I haven't been considered young for some time, but now I recite the same motto each week as I work with the teenage girls in my own congregation. Even though I'm now a wife and mother, it's a good reminder for me that no matter how old I am, I still need to improve myself on these eight values.

I created downloadable watercolor prints of each value in its respective color. They're designed to print as 5x7s. I hope you use them for a girl you care about to remind them of their own "value" to you and to their Heavenly Father. These prints are for your own personal use or for that of your own Young Women's program.

Basketball is NOT my sport. The only time I remember making a basket was while serving a volleyball during junior high tryouts. But I don't mind watching other people play it. And March is the month for games. So why not get your friends together and party while watching your fav college teams battle it out on the court.

I'm all about the food at a party, but I don't want to spend all my time in the kitchen. Instead I combine something frozen with something fresh. That way I don't stress myself out over food prep and can make things look and feel fun. This go around, I worked with DelimexFiesta.com and their selection of frozen rolled tacos, tamales, and taquitos. They're offering a coupon right now for $1 off on any TWO (2) Delimex® Frozen Taquito products (Excluding Fruit Taquito Products) at Walmart. The coupon runs until 4/7/15 with a final experation date of 5/4/15.

You can find Delimex products in the frozen section at your local Walmart.

You can't have Mexican food without salsa. I whipped up my signature salsa recipe for the party and even came up with a new speedy guacamole!

I had such a hard time setting up without nibbling on the "pick and roll"ed tacos and "time out" taquitos. But I'm a giver, so I took one for the team and waited for my guests. :D

Tamales are a personal favorite of mine, so I couldn't wait to share the "game time" tamales with my friends.

Last, but not least, I knew we'd need some punch to wash it all down. The "in the paint" punch looks as delicious as it tastes!
